Racing/Coaching Background

I grew up going to all kinds of Dirt, Drag and Road races as a kid. My father had a business relationship and became friends with AJ Foyt. So, my whole life I have been around racing.

I personally started driving on track with the Porsche club High Performance events at road racing tracks in Texas in the mid 90’s. In 1997 I joined the Sports Car Club of America known as the SCCA and went to Skip Barber racing school later that year and received my Full Competition License to compete.

First race car Swift DB3 Open Wheel we ran it in Formula Ford the first season and moved up to Formula Continental the follow season. 

Second race car 1972 Porsche 914 1.8 F-Production, I won 21 SCCA Major races and 2 Amateur Championship between 2000-2005

2003 I joined newly formed Corvette school at Texas Motor Speedway as Chief Road Racing Director and taught Intro to Road Racing for ten years

Third race car 2005 Nissan 350Z Grand Am GS Class. I was offered Professional drive (paid to drive for the team) I drove for three seasons, with many top 5 and Top 10 finishes in the three seasons as a co-driver.

2012 Take it 2 the Limit was formed due to ending of Corvette school at TMS.

Since 2017, I have raced in SCCA Majors event across the country in the Spec Miata class one of the most challenging classes of racing in the states. 

2020 I had 1 win, a 2nd, and 4 Top 10’s in the Spec Miata

As of May 2021, I am campaigning a Spec Racer Ford Gen3 finished Top 12 both SCCA Majors events run so far

Take it 2 the Limit has 18 plus years providing coaching to complete Novice never seen a track before, all the way up to professional race coaching of current drivers in North America. I have coached and developed three National Champions in the last five years. All of them came from Karting! One is the youngest driver in history to win a National Championship at 15 years and 3 months.

I have been around racing my whole life, I got a late start to the grid, I was 36 years old before getting my chance. But I have been racing ever since! Let Take it 2 the Limit be your source for speed!
